Questions You Might Ask About The Final Application
- In the application you ask to designate thesis only, text only, or text and thesis. Could you please explain these three options and share the pros and cons of each. Do the different options affect the final credential? All our programs normally require text-based studies and a thesis. That is the 'text and thesis' program.
Some students might, however, find it impossible to access a library for research. [Many of our students are missionaries in remote locations, and in countries where there might not be a single Christian library]. We substitute courses in lieu of thesis for all those who ask, and that is the 'text only' track. Text-only programs give additional text-based course-material in lieu of thesis. Students with advanced academic standing and several degrees are permitted to write one or more theses in lieu of everything. This is the 'thesis only' option. This is not available to first-time theology students. The syllabus has been designed in such a way that it does not affect the final credential.
