Take a measure of moral anarchy, mix with moral relativism, and stir with a good number of spineless social/spiritual leaders, allow a bit of time for it to ferment, and you have a strange concoction ready. People who take it in think it is the elixir of life, but discover too late that it kills.

While men have always nursed ideas related to sexual freedom, and though many gave it a try at least in their thoughts, the first person to expound the philosophy and methodology of Sexual Anarchy was Marquis de Sade, a French anarchist who has been made immortal though the word "Sadism". His books were banned for long, he was in jail for a good number of years, many of his manuscripts were burned by his son, yet what remained sprouted and manifests today. One of these is the worldview of the pornographers.

While I have seen numerous good books that critically analyze pornography, I have seen not even a handful of books on their thinking and goals. The late Rousas John Rushdoony was a prolific writer, prodigious reader, and had a photographic memory. This book from his pen in 14 chapters and two appendixes packs an unbelievable amount of insight (assuming insight shared can be quantified). In his natural style he shows all the hidden links between ideas and consequences. The chapters on the morality and the politics of pornography are eye openers. The chapter on pornography and Law was so pregnant with ideas that I read it twice.

Rushdoony writes in a style of his own, which contains some repetition, but not to a level to tire the reader. The book is eminently readable, the analysis is powerful and penetrating. The most important contribution is the insight offered, not easily available in other books that analyze pornography.

Pastors, Christian communicators, and anyone who has had enough of the contemporary Moral Relativism should read this book. The material is not easily available anywhere else, including the website or periodical connected with Rushdoony's ministry
