The CRG Handbook
The Calvin Research Group is an Umbrella Organization that controls several distance-schools. This handbook introduces the procedures and policies to be followed by everyone related to CRG schools.
These standard operating Procedures [SOP] have been developed by the CRG faculty after a comprehensive study of distance-schools worldwide. Inputs from faculty and students are used to upgrade this handbook continually. Consequently, this handbook has become a comprehensive document that contains information and instruction about practically every subject that students and faculty need to know.
We expect students and faculty to make themselves thoroughly familiar with everything here so that they do not waste the precious time of the Office by asking questions which have already been answered hare. Familiarity will also result in uniformity where everyone needs to the same thing, and diversity where they are expected to use their creativity.
How To Use This Handbook: From the initial application up to graduation it is a long process, involving many steps. Some of these might be totally new and first-time activity for you. Others might not be new, but they might are done differently in CRG schools. Not knowing these things can make you perplexed, while a knowledge will add to your efficiency and will save your time. This will in turn help every to attain Excellence, Ease, and Efficiency.
While reading onscreen comes easy to many, others are able to enjoy a document only if it is in printed format. Such people should print this handbook immediately after receiving it. Whatever the preference, you should read the whole document at least one. If you are the type who needs to ensure everything in advance, then do print, read several times, underline, and annotate.
Whenever you wish to know anything related to policy and procedure, consult the handbook first. The latest copy can always be downloaded from our website. It is continually updated and expanded. Do check it as the answer you are looking for might have been incorporated in the latest issue. Be sure to check the FAQ pages also. Most of what students wish to know are one and the same so the FAQ pages [continually updated] would in all probability answer your question. Contact the office only after you ensure that your question is not answered anywhere in the Handbook.
Finally, when you contact the office, ensure that you follow the standard Operating Procedure for writing to the Office which is given in another section. SOP for writing to the Office should be followed closely.
