    • Fr. Patrick says:

A MDiv is typically for those who are going to be in active ministry. It is a much more rounded education. M Th simply focuses on theology. So for example I am an Old Catholic priest that is actively seeking to form a parish so a MDiv would make a whole lot of sense.
If I was going to teach in say a mission country or at my local parish than theology would make more sense. Typically a MDiv is a three year program where as a MTh is a two year program.

  14. Carlton Coleman says:

Hi there, I am currently doing a Master of Divinity from Oval Bible College. In reference to V.Amardev Rajesh question, you should definitely be eligible to apply for Master of Divinity atleast at some colleges. However, on this site, you may want to try the Doctor of Biblical Studies degree. Trinity only requires that you are atleast 24 and have a bachelors degree or three years of college in any major for entrance into the (DBS) Doctorate of Biblical degree so I recommend you do that one. Let me know if you decide to start it, I probably will after I finish my MDiv degree.

I have already known how tough this subject is. I do not think two years is enough for graduation. Specially, MDIV is so much time taking. One can for sure get graduated if he can employ all the time he has every day without working other things. But for a student like me, who struggles for a living and also eager to learn this subject, Oh God help me I do not know what to do with it.

  20. Dear Sir,

With due respect and great honor, I would like to bring your kind attention towards my foremost desire to apply for Master of Divinity program. I am living in Pakistan. And due to hard circumstances i am unable to join you where you are now serving to spread the fragrance of Gospel. I completed my Degree of Bachelor of Theology 1997-2000 from Gujranwala Theological Seminary. I am now serving as Priest in St.John’s Church, haripur. If you will give me an opportunity to complete this degree through correspondence then i will be very thankful and grateful to you. I am a married and have 5 kids.

    In coming Lord Jesus,
    Rev.Anil Jasper

However, I have also studied at Central Bible College, Springfield, Mo and have accumulated approximately 30 hours of undergraduate credit. I have also attended the Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary and studied Elementary Greek for a total of 8 graduate credits. 64. Dr.Michael Adolphus Marc Anthony Iles says:

Bretheren, greetings in Christ Jesus. I have recently submitted a request for the admission to one of your degree programmes, but, I later discovered that potential applicants with secular degrees could apply for MDv admittance. Here, in Brasil, I have been conducting a free five year course in Pastoral Missiology. Most of the course material is given by me after extensive exhautive exegetic research and prayer. I have been involved in descipleship for over eleven years. I would rather be enrolled in the MDv course as this best suits my ministerial needs. My secular degree studies in the veterinary medical and medical fields were persued up to the Phd level. The latter, however was not completed due to adequate orientation. I now live here in rural Brasil and my life is now the descipleship ministry in the capacity of a Transcultural Missionary, preparing desciples for Christ Jesus. May the Lord Jesus Christ continue to richly bless your ministry through this wonderful gift to those who are truly committed to spreading the Good News de Salvation in Jesus Christ.

  65. Dr.Michael Adolphus Marc Anthony Iles says:

Sorry about the error….I really meant “inadequate orientation”.

  66. Hey there, You have performed an incredible job. I will definitely digg it and in my view recommend to my friends. I am confident they will be benefited from this web site.

  67. Ogbonnaya Ukpabi (JP) says:

I have read and gone through all the courses involved in MDid in Trinity Theological College and found them interesting. I hereby request that my application should be granted so that I begin my courses as soon as possible.

  68. Garrison says:

Greeting in the name of our LORD.I want to study the word of God in Trinity Theological College.
    Thank you so much.

    INTERNATIONAL COUNCIL OF ACCREDITING ALTERNATE
    AND THEOLOGICAL EDUCATION – (ICAATE)

    http://www.icaate.com

    Accreditation in India
Accreditation of educational institutions in India takes an eclectic approach. A framework for this approach was provided in the Constitution of India that was adopted on 26th January 1950, a decade before the American accreditation system arose.

The establishment and accreditation of educational institutions in India go along two tracks: institutions in the general category, and institutions in the minority-community category. Of these, the accreditation of institutions in the general category is regulated by the Education Department and other related Government departments. On the other hand, the accreditation of minority-community institutions is regulated by special accrediting agencies. Special agencies can seek Government approval, and are granted such approval directly by the State and Central Government after the mandatory legal and official examination. This is done under the Cultural and Educational rights provided for in the Constitution of India in articles 29 and 30.

The relevant clauses in the Constitution are:

    29. Protection of interests of minorities.—(1) Any section of the citizens residing in the territory of India or any part thereof having a distinct language, script or culture of its own shall have the right to conserve the same.

    (2) No citizen shall be denied admission into any educational institution maintained by the State or receiving aid out of State funds on grounds only of religion, race, caste, language or any of them.

    30. Right of minorities to establish and administer educational institutions. — (1) All minorities, whether based on religion or language, shall have the right to establish and administer educational institutions of their choice.

(1A) In making any law providing for the compulsory acquisition of any property of an educational institution established and administered by a minority, referred to in clause (1), the State shall ensure that the amount fixed by or determined under such law for the acquisition of such property is such as would not restrict or abrogate the right guaranteed under that clause.

    (2) The State shall not, in granting aid to educational institutions, discriminate against any educational institution on the ground that it is under the management of a minority, whether based on religion or language.

The provisions made in the Constitution of India for the minorities-led-institutions was reinforces on 21 December 2005 when a special Bill related to the educational institutions of minority-communities (including Christians) was passed. In effect this Bill once again affirms that inter alia Bible schools, Theological Seminaries, etc in India shall not be regulated or accredited by the Department of Education, but rather by the State and Central Government. It also implies that accreditation councils for such institutions will be approved by the State and Central Government, and not by the Department of Education.
ICAATE is a private religious Accrediting Agency established under this clause with the approval of the State and Central Government.
ICAATE was established under this clause of the Constitution of India. It is under this clause that the State Government of Kerala, and the Government of India granted in 2003 the right of theological accreditation to ICAATE.

    History
The International Council For Alternate And Theological Studies had an informal beginning in 1954 and since then it has been involved as an NGO in informal encouragement of theological studies within India.

Documents were submitted for Government Approval in 2003, and after the due course of examination such an approval was granted on 15th December according to the laws of the State and Central Government of India.

Through this approval, ICAATE has been permitted by the Government of India to play a deciding role in the development and accreditation of theological courses which do not come under the preview of University Grants Commission.

This approval by the Government of India is in accordance with the Constitution of India, which in the 29th and 30th Articles grants special rights to the Minority Groups in India. 81. Reynaldo Mendoza says:

I had forwarded my inquiries several days ago and just this morning I made another request. My primary concern is to know how much will I am going to spend if I’m gonna take the full course of Master of Divinity? I heard and have seen a lot of advertisements about your free courses. Sir, I’m glad if you would give me an idea with regards to my inquiry. By the way, I had my Ministerial Training diploma under Zion Ministerial Institute. Hope to hear from you soon.

  82. Reynaldo Mendoza says:

It seems that my main query on how much money will I be needed to have a complete course of Master of Divinity wasn’t answered yet.
This is my next question, how and when can I start doing my desired course? How can I receive quizzes and how to submit the assignments and term papers (if there are)?
Thank you for answering my concerns. God bless you.

  84. Matthew Pierson says:

    Hello,
I’m very interested in this program and applied a few days back.
I currently teach biology as an adjunct professor at a couple colleges and I’m great at it but I don’t believe I’m teaching the right material. I feel called to teach the love of God in a church setting.
I have previously received my masters in education from the University of Michigan in 2013. So, while my previous education isn’t directly bible related it is related to teaching still and I’d just have to change the subject.
I’d love to hear back from this program as I love everything I’ve read about it and am really feeling called towards it.
    Thank you and God Bless,
    Matthew Pierson

    • Matthew Pierson says:

      Hello,
I apologize for my unprofessional picture. This is from many years ago and it’s not giving me the option to change it.
      Thank you and God bless,
      Matthew Pierson
