“JESUS NOT RESURRECTED”
This title appears in the article written by Deedat p.106. He quotes Luke 24:39-40. “What was the man trying to prove? That he had resurrected from the dead? –That he was a Spirit? –What has the demonstration of hands and feet to do with resurrection? “It is MYSELF!” Can’t you see, you fools? “For a SPIRIT …”__any, spirit has “NO flesh and bones, as YOU see ME have!” This is an axiomatic self-evident truth”(Deedat p. 106 emphasis his). I do not see a fact which is outlined by Deedat to disapprove resurrection rather than an insult by calling Christians who believe in the resurrections as “fools!” (emphasis mine).
The apologists should question the honourable Qur’an quoting Jesus speaking of His death, “Peace be upon me, the day I was born, and the day I die, and the day I am raised up alive. That is Jesus, son of Mary, the word of truth concerning which they are doubting”(Surah 19:33-34). Ask the Muslim debater to explain the meaning of the verse. This Surah does not dispute Jesus death but affirms it.
Surah (3:54) “And they (the Jews) planned and Allah planned, and Allah is the best of planners. When Allah said, Jesus, I will take you to Me and I will raise you to Me.” How could Jesus resurrect if he did not die?
THE STATUS OF JESUS IN THE OLD TESTAMENT
The word “us” is used three times and “our” twice to refer to God in the OT. “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness and let them have dominion…” (Gen. 1:26 emphasis mine).
“And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever” (Gen. 3:22 KJV).
“Let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech” (Gen. 11:7). “Us” and “our” are plural nouns. This signifies the equality between the Trinity. God was talking to other beings who had the same divine attributes like Him.
The name attribute “holy holy holy” wherever it appears in the OT is triple (Isa. 6:3). Never does it appear only two times. This is a clear indication of the Trinity in the OT.
Isaiah (7:14) prophesied the birth of Son from the virgin to be called Emmanuel. Matthew 3:23 refers to the birth of Jesus as the fulfillment of the prophet Isaiah. He goes further to translate the term “Emmanuel” that it means God with us. In other words the Son who was Jesus was God. Emmanuel means the manifestation of God. It again means God manifested Himself in the human body. Isaiah (45:15) says it well “Verily thou art a God that hidest thyself, O God of Israel, the Savior.” God was hiding Himself in the body of Christ. God is incorporeal. He does not have a body like a human being. He is immaterial. When Jesus was born in the earth God the Father gave Him a body (Heb. 10:5). Jesus had the flesh and the blood in His human body that He did not have before, before the time He was born through Mary (Heb. 2:14). The description of the author of Hebrews comes from Psalm 40:6-8. The interpretation of the Psalm 40:6-8 to the book of Hebrews is beyond the scope of this study.
The term which is frequently used for God in the OT is “Elohim” (Gen.1:1). Elohim means master, owner, and the mighty warrior in the singular form. This is a compound name for God. El is singular form while as ohim means three or more. The word bara is in singular form and it is translated as created. This means God in plural form created together the earth.
The Son was to be born through a virgin is called God. “For onto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, The Mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace” (Isa. 9:6 KJV).
He appeared like the Son of Man in the burning furnace when the three Hebrew boys were thrown in the furnace of fire in Babylon (Dan. 3: 24-25). The Son of Man is said to have come to the Ancient of Days who is God the Father. The Son of Man is given dominion and tell the people to worship and serve Him (Dan. 7:9,13-14). The Son is recognized as the divine being. Angels and humans in the Bible have refused to be worshipped (Rev. 19:10; Acts 10:25).
The term Lord is Adonai or God in the Hebrew Bible. “THE LORD said unto my Lord, sit thou at my right hand…”( Ps. 110:1). The verse has one “Lord” speaking to another “Lord”. If the first term “Lord” is God who is the second “Lord?” It can be properly translated that God the Father spoke to Jesus God the Son.
In Psalm 45:7; the passage describes God, anointing God with oil of gladness. “Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows” (KJV). Hebrews 1: 8 quotes Psalm 45:6 “But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, o God, is forever: a scepter of righteousness is the scepter of thy kingdom.” The first God is the Father while as the second one, is God the Son. The anointing refers to the empowerment of the Spirit (Isa. 61:1-3) which was fulfilled on the day when He was baptized from the River Jordan (Matt. 3:16-17; Acts 10:38).
Jesus said that He had come not to be served but to serve and in this serving He would be able to be a ransom of many (Mark 10:45). The theme of Jesus as servant or that He gave an example of servant leadership echoes the servant which is portrayed by the prophet Isaiah (42, 53) in the OT. What God said on the River Jordan when Jesus was baptized that He delights in Jesus and that He was His Son was a fulfillment of Isaiah 42:1. The same verse says God will put His Spirit upon Him that is why after God had spoken the Spirit came upon Jesus the very same time as the double fulfillment of Isaiah 42:1. I conclude by saying Jesus was one of “us” in Genesis, He is “God” that is mentioned second in Psalms, He is the “Lord” that is mentioned second in Psalms, He is the “servant” whom delighted with and was anointed; and the “suffering servant” mentioned in Isaiah, and He is the “son of Man” who appeared with the three Hebrew boys who were thrown into the furnace of fire by King Nebuchadnezzar in Babylon.

Christ has Been Resurrected indeed .At the time of Apostle Paul when he was in Corinth there where other Jews who has spread this message so when Paul has heard he was very upset with them (the Corinth church). So in replay he said this
1 Corinthians 15:14 (King James Version)
14And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.
Christ was resurrected physically. there are many eye witnesses. Even some people touched his hand and and saw his ascension to heaven. Paul said if Christ is not resurrected our faith and hope will be in vain. If some one believe that Jesus is not resurrected, it could be that Jesus did not dead for that person.
Jezus lives. He risen from the dead.He gives hope in your life and a future for now and after dead.
I am impressed with the work you have done here. I thank you for helping disclose the Islamic Faith for what it is.May JEHOVAH’s Blessings be upon your future work.
Quite enlightening. It is more dificult even from the Quran to prove that Jesus did not ressurect than that He indeed ressurected.
Whoa! Very powerful material gentleman. Hebrews is just phenominal in explaining the deity of Christ, and how we fulfilled the Law and introduced a better Covenant. The first chapter always blows away my mind. Thanks for all the hard work you guys do. May the LORD bless you, and keep you safe from all our enemies. May the curses written in Job 18 fall upon them all. May the Lord be with you and stregnthen you in your endeavors as you teach in season, and out of season, rebuking and exorting all mankind to come to the knowledge of the Almighty God. The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Bless you O’LORD and keep these men safe from our enemies, from them that curse your holy name, and mock the Son of the Most High. Protect these men O’Lord, for they preach in your name O’ God!! 🙂
I mean “He” and not “we” excuse me brethren
He is Lord. He is Lord. He has risen from the dead and He is Lord. Every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord. He is King of Kings and the Son of God.
If Jesus has not risen, then the Word of God would be vain. But, we know that we can confirm by our spiritual birth and relationship with God that the Word of God is true and eternal.
